Faux-ever Young

We know, we know-- it's, like, the easiest pun in the world.

We hope you've enjoyed this faux-toe shoot as much as we have.

In this little sesh (shortening words-- SEO's biggest nightmare and the reason this blog is never going anywhere, jk, jk), Victoria sports a black, high-neck bodysuit with the sides cut out (lingerie tape in tow) and accents it with an ombre faux fur vest and a chandelier necklace.

Well, so much faux now.

Peace 'n' blessins (never ending thanks to GlowZell for that sign-off)

Turn Down 'Fur' What?!

How was that for witty?-- Well, are you ready faux this entry?!

We are about half-way through our desert-inspired photo shoot!

For the next few looks we decided to go with a little faux fur action. Cassandra mixed together a lace shift dress with a vintage vest and accessorized it with cut-out wedges and a black (faux) rosary. So much faux being legit.

**jokes faux days**

Her hair is done in Pravana 'Red.' Her skin is done by staying indoors and SPF 100 (previously mentioned in our first posts). Safety first!

Well, that's all faux now!

Smooches,

The Desert Rose Series: Part III

Let's be honest, when we wake up in the morning, this is probably the last outfit we think of wearing. However, when it comes to summer festival season, it works. Don't be afraid to get a little outrageous, you'll be surprised how "normal" you will actually feel.

When packing, keep it simple. What is on our list?
  1. Unique tops (3-4)
  2. Neutral Shorts (Ex: 1 acid wash; 1 black or white)
  3. Two skirts (Ex: 1 short; 1 long)
  4. Two pairs or shoes/sandals (Ex: gladiators/small-healed for comfort)
  5. Accessories (don't go overboard, an awesome arm cuff, rings & necklace)
  6. Hat and sunglasses
  7. If you're feeling really festive (pun intended) grab a Flash Tattoo (you won't be sorry)
(Side note: Rompers are a great substitution. The delightful one-pieces really minimize your packing)

If you find yourself in a rut, just think-- if Jenny from Forrest Gump would wear it, you should probably pack it.

Well, that's all the advice we have for today. If all else fails, throw in an extra bottle-o-burb. You won't mind much after that.

Smooches,

Oh, we almost forgot about the infamous flower crown. Don't leave home without it. ;)

The Desert Rose Series: Part II

When you're in the desert trying to bring your summer fashion A-game, it's important to remember that bodysuits and fringed pleather jackets are all the rage-- so don't been seen without them (obvi).

Cassandra rocks the babe train in this little ensemble put together by some of our favorite money-saving spots (outfits are surprisingly much more affordable when you bi-pass the pants option) :

Get the Look:

1. Fringe Pleather Jacket: H&M
2. Black Cotton Bodysuit: Forev (Forever 21)
3. Gold Necklace (unfortunately covered by her luxurious locks): Urban Outfitters

The Desert Rose Series: Part I

Here is the first gem in our seven-part series shot by local photographer, Brandon Cruz, of Brandon Cruz Photography.

We had oh-so-much fun frolicking in the desert during this shoot. Dodging snake holes while wearing stilettos and kimonos was definitely something new and thrilling for us. Alas, the photos turned out stellar! Hope you enjoy...

Get the Look

1. Black and Rose Fringe Kimono: NastyGal
2. Black One-Piece Swimsuit: American Apparel
3. Antique-Finish Gold Necklace: H&M

How to Get Tattoos That You Won't Regret

The Tattoo Junkie

If our mother wouldn't cry for days, Cassandra would be head-to-toe in tats. So, how do you stay on your mama's good side and also appease the urge to ink-up your glorious epidermis?-- Temporary tattoos.

Yep, you heard us right. These are not just cheesy impostors you get out of quarter machines, they are actually pretty rad and come in all shapes and sizes for "big kids."

So... let's get tatted up (the was the most poser thing to say, probably ever):

Step 1:

Find a fakie you'll want forever (but really-- only a few days). Our personal favorite online store is Tattify

Step 2:

Apply the tattoo like you did when you were a 7-year-old punk. If you don't remember or have never done this, what kind of childhood did you lead? There are instructions in the package, so relax.

Step 3:

After your tat is completely dried, apply a thin layer of Liquiskin by Pepperink for a matte finish.

Step 4:

Embrace the fake. It's healthier, zero pain, you can mix-up your look and the most glorious reason of all... no tears from mommy or daddy. Woo.

If you're not all about her tattoos, here's a bit about her outfit:

1. A velour crop-top from 'Urban Outfitters'
2. Pleather liquid leggings from 'Forever21'
 3. Chunky platform booties in all black
3. 'Michael Kors' gold watch
4. Smokey eyes by 'Naked'
5. Matte finish 'Diva' lipstick by MAC

Check ya lata, check ya lata!
